Meet the Team


Jaxson Bunes

Jaxson Bunes is 19 years old and began his F1 in Schools work at Palmetto High School in 2017. Jaxson is a second year at the University of South Florida majoring in chemical engineering. Using his high level of proficiency in CAD modeling software and aerodynamics, Jaxson is responsible for designing the car and testing designs and materials as Design Engineer. Outside of school, Jaxson enjoys playing with his dog and taking an active role in his community by volunteering at local elementary schools. 


Eleanor Hopkins

Eleanor Hopkins is a 15 year old sophomore at Palmetto High School. She is enrolled in her school’s Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) program. Eleanor’s academic interests include engineering and science. She enjoys distance cycling and free climbing in her spare time. She participates in her school's varsity cross country team.  


Jaye Kendzior

Jaye Kendzior is a 16 year old junior attending Southeast High School. She is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. In and out of school she participates in weightlifting and softball. Within her personal time, Jaye enjoys drawing and spending time with her friends and family.  


Arianna Longo

Arianna Longo is a 15 year old sophomore at Palmetto High School in Florida. Arianna is enrolled in the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) program. Arianna’s academic interests include engineering, business, history, and science. She plays basketball for Palmetto High School and participates in multiple clubs.  


Abbygale Owen

Abbygale Owen is a senior at Palmetto High School whose main interests are in math and science. In addition to Formula 1, she is active in her school’s Technology Student Association and Academic Team.  In her free time, Abbygale enjoys reading, writing, and photography. 


Hunter Raley

Hunter Raley is a 16 year old junior at Palmetto High School and serves as the manufacturing engineer. Hunter enjoys testing and improving the car as well as learning how to operate different machinery. He has competed in the Technology Student Association for five years and is the 2017 Middle School CO2 Dragster National Champion. Outside of school, Hunter plays baseball and spends time with his family.
